Anne-René Petrarca
“Movement is the thread that weaves breath into being.”
Anne-René is a dance artist, Alexander Technique teacher, somatic explorer, and the artistic director of Sculpted Motion. Her yoga journey began in the 1990s in New York City and has unfolded alongside a life devoted to movement, awareness, and creative expression.
Her Soulful Flow class is a dynamic Vinyasa practice that awakens and harmonizes body, mind, and spirit. It is both physically challenging and heart-centered, a moving meditation that weaves together hand mudras, chanting, inspired readings, and music. Each class is an offering—a conversation between stillness and motion, between breath and being. Yoga is an opening—an unraveling and uncovering of light. For Anne-Rene, it is a synthesis of body, mind, and spirit, a creative intelligence that holds her close and then sets her free.
Movement has always been her way of speaking with the world. Her inspirations live in nature, music, poetry, mythology, art, the pulsation of life, and the night sky. Anne-Rene senses a fullness, a vibration that hums through everything, and finds peace in knowing that she is always becoming—a work in progress, carving a path toward that rhythm. How magnificent it is to be part of something rather than nothing.
